#$$%^$%&^*(

What happens to old music anyway? Why does it stop being relevant ? Stop moving peoples asses?
Fuck knows. Its kinda like that old saying , "if a tree falls in the forest and no one is around , does it make a sound?" Which is kind of a retarded question anyway, the answer is obviously yes.

Music n that

Music is good. I like lots of music . I dunno why but I've always liked kind of unpopular music. Not unpopular like mozart but unpopular like Slayer before they were cool, Run DMC , Dead Kennedys,Nirvana [grunge wasnt popular when it first came out] Gabba, Psy trance , DnB, now Dubstep which is currently rocking my world at the moment. Toecutter, aphex twin, obituary, napalm death, mudhoney, metallica [before they were popular but], 2 live crew, Ice T, Henry Rollins [ he looked right at me man] , Nasenbluten, Bjork, Ameliana torrini, and of course jack johnson. [Jack is popular but not with most of my friends].
Awise person once told me that music is cyclical and all the best old stuff gets recycled again next generation but that doesnt make it less good , it took me a while to appreciate that but I think they were right , No one really owns music , it just comes out and after a long enough time period it all sounds as gay as mozart.

Indo life

From when I was travelling...
I am travelling through indonesia for 4 months and I recently stayed with a family in a small village on the island of Rote, Indonesia. I volunteered for two weeks as an english teacher. I taught classes at night for the older children and adults of the village. In the mornings I would also help out at the pre-school [kindergarten] .

I am not a teacher at home nor have I done a TESOL course. The teacher there is from Surabaya, and speaks fluent English she was pretty much the backbone of every lesson.

Life in the village is very different from anything I have ever exprienced before. The food is simple [rice, noodles, vegetables when available, fruit when available, meat available but you must buy it because the family is very poor. Plus local delicasies from the local palm tree - Lontar palm.]

There are no shops as such, only small kiosks that sell soap, cigarrettes, and two minute noodles. There is a local market which has a wider variety of produce available [ sometimes].
The village is only about 20 km from the town of Baa, where it is possible to buy most things .

The people are fantastic there , really genuine , down to earth country folk. The english speakers are however few and far between so it is better if you can speak some indonesian.

At least to say thankyou etc but the teacher speaks fluent english so she often acts as a translator too.

Cool things to do?
-a boat trip to the local island, uninhabited except by monkeys and goats.
-driving around on motorbikes, watch out for animals, and always wear a helmet.
-sit on verandah watching the herds of buffalo, goats and pigs -eating coconuts, drinking fresh Lontar juice [tuak]
-buying meat - it works on a catch and kill basis. When i went to buy a chicken it took 1 and a half hours!

Best thing about life in the village?
-the kids, the old people, everyone, especially the host family.

Wierd thing about life in the village?
- because the villagers havent seen many foreigners before, if you go anywhere or do anything you will often be surrounded by 12 - 20 people just standing and staring at you. Dont freak out ! Just smile and wave, smile and wave.

Maybe don't?
Bring alcohol to the village. They are alcohol free christians and the young people are very impressionable. For me this was a bit of a challenge as i really do love a cold beer at the end of the day but I managed alright, you can too!

Vent

I am SO glad John Howard is gone. It used to make me feel sick with shame that he was our leader. It was as though something [else] was horribly wrong in the world. "Whats that George? OK George, right away George, I'll get right on it Sir. "
I even met Americans who said that where they come from Australia was considered to be a bit of a joke because of our suck up of a PM.
By the way John , thanks for making it more dangerous for Australians to travel overseas. It used to be the thing to say - " No I'm not American , I'm Australian." and it would make everything ok. Not anymore!
Divide and conquer? Lie should probably be in there too I think. That worm and his fucking party sought to polarise those of us with a brain and to outright mislead those more easily led.
Little Grima wormtongue fucking Johnny fuckwit Howard.
I hope you stay gone.
And all like you.
I'm not usually like this but I just had to get it off my chest. Aaaahhhhh, thats better. Might watch a rerun of Kev's sorry speech on youtube....

Ignition

The rush of surfing on a good day, nothing like it. It feels like you got water in your veins, in a good way.
The thrill of a new girl, nothin beats it, almost better than surfing, feels like your blood is on fire and your erection is mighty.
The delight of a ciggy and a beer or 6 , worse than sex or surfing but delightfully addictive all the same. Trashbagging all night with friends? Priceless.
A few hours of gardnening and you feel the life of everything in your insides , hard to describe but something that has a definite 'rightness' to it all the same.
Becoming bi - lingual? all in the head , expansive , sparking up of neurones or some such business, better than drugs.
Drugs? Better not do too much and some better not do at all. Good if they help you live, otherwise...

Defining God through sensuality,
A sensual creator,
The ultimate enjoyer,
Experiential participation frees and delivers the spark to the flame.

Musing of a Zombie Lover

Its either the end of civilization or the birth of humanity I m waiting for.
Zombies represent an insatiable hunger , desire forever unfulfilled.
Zombies always seem to be suffering, its their natural state.
Maybe thats why we fear them so. They are the gaping black hole that lies in the center of each and every one of us.
No matter what you buy, drink, wear, ingest, smoke, poke, inject, insert or whatever, you cant ever fill it.Thats why we suffer so.
Our core is empty and it scares us. Terrifies us. Forces us to look anywhere but in, to just keep on forcing more and more of the same old crap down the same old hole even though we know it wont work.
We know, but still we persist.
In a way, in a very real way, each of us is just like the zombie.
Unsatisfied, unfulfilled, unhappy.
Suffering.
Have a nice day.
